My name is Lupita. I am 42 years old and I am finally going to be a mom for the first time! My due date is June 6th. Since my 30's, my biological clock had been ticking but I wanted to be with the right person. My twenties were all about me me me and going to school and starting a career. Then I turned 30 and started to see my sisters and brothers kids growing up so fast. I loved being their favorite aunt but always felt a loneliness in having my own to teach and care for. Then at 38, I changed my life around and started to put God first after suffering a blow with my health that literally put me out of work for a whole month! While undergoing many hospital tests, it was then I was told I had fibroids on my uterus and started to accept the fact that I may never be able to conceive at all. But in spite of still being alone and not having a family of my own yet I continued studying my bible and changing my life. I remember praying one night and with all my heart had asked God for his help in helping me find the "someone" He wanted for me, not whom I wanted. Then literally a month later that "someone" was sent! We were married 2 years ago and I have never been happier! He is a christian like me and I couldn't have asked for a better relationship. Now we are having our first son, truly a gift from God! What I look forward to is just simply being a MOM, and to be able to see my husband and myself in him as he grows, to be able to teach him everything that is good, and most importantly to teach our little Isaiah about his all loving Creator up above! What makes this more special for me is God answered my prayer!
Thank you and God bless!

I first realized I was a mom when I had everyone else referring to me as Mommy. How weird it was to hear that word in reference to myself at first. I finally got used to it and now have four little ones who call me mom. Not so weird to hear it now =)

I'm not a mom I am just a 18 year old but my girlfriends are having kids and i remember the first moment they told me. I was on the phone with my friend and she was bubbly and happy telling me about her family in indiana and telling about the job she got and i replied how proud i was of her getting her act together and focusing on something. Then she just said "i'm pregnant" and my heart sank. what can i say "im proud of you" or "congratulations" we had an argument after she had told me and i didn't speak with her after a while. soon we both came around and for Christmas i couldn't stop thinking about her so i sent her a gift one week later i get a call " you have been the most best friend i have ever had. i can't remember that last time i have ever had somebody care about me like you have" and then it clicked in my head this baby has actually changed her act she has cleaned up she has stayed off of drugs she has stopped fighting with her family and she has kept a job and i cried and since then we have been talking and she tells me how far she is along and i ask how is it going with everyone and i really hope i could help out more than just asking how is the pregnancy so i hope she could win this stroller she really deserves it.

The one moment that transformed me from a women to a mom was the time when I felt my son's hairy cheeks for the first time. He was frail and small but had so peaceful in my arms as if he knew already he can trust me

Even though I’m not due until September, what I like about motherhood so far is that I have never felt so much purpose on this earth until we found out we were pregnant with our little jewel.
